Vending
Come Join our Growing Community!
At PCFM we strive to make vending with us easy, enjoyable, and profitable. Vendors are the life blood of our organization. We care about your success, because it is the measure of our success! If you are interested in joining our vendor community, take a look at our market rules, and get in touch if you have any questions.
What we require:
Our market is for any individual or business located within 100 miles of Franklin, WV who is selling items of their own creation. Whether that is produce, meat, crafts, baked goods, or art, if you made it, it's welcome!
We do NOT require a registration or booth fee of any kind. Vendors self-report their sales at the end of each market and contribute a 5% commission on total sales to the market at the close of business weekly.
All vendors are asked to abide by our Market Rules. This document is available at the link below, or a hard copy can be provided to you at the market.
We are a registered Farmers Market with the WV Department of Agriculture. We ask that all vendors abide by the rules for the sale of their products as established by the WVDA. For many products, these requirements are minimal, and we are happy to help answer any questions you may have about what you need to do to be in compliance. Resources from WVDA are listed below.
The market provides all vendors access to SNAP (ebt) and SNAP Stretch sales, for qualifying items. The market manages the reimbursement process with the agencies that administer these food access programs, and pays out on a weekly basis to any vendor who makes sales to users.
There is NO requirement to come every week. If you let us know ahead of time, we can help promote your items on our social media pages during the days leading up to the market when you'll be with us.
What market day looks like:
Vendors arrive at the market at 8am to set up. The Market Manager facilitates the placement of vendor booths, and makes decisions about how to arrange vendors especially if there is a full house.
By 9am you have your products displayed and customers start to arrive. Many days we have additional activities that start in the first hour of the market such as musicians, cooking demonstrations, and kids craft activities.
Tables are provided by the market to any vendor until we run out for the day! We also have a limited selection of chairs and merchandising materials.
The market continues until noon, and we ask all vendors to stay until the close of the day.
Once you have finished your sales, you fill out a simple sales log for the Market Manager, and depart to enjoy the rest of your Saturday!
